Italy in Amsterdam

I have a never ending obsession for Italian cuisine, so it doesn’t matter the country I visit, I tend to always end up trying at least one Italian restaurant. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Al contrario!

So on our first day in Amsterdam, we decided to have dinner at Piadina Bar and here’s our experience:

The location is very convenient since it’s so close to the metro station and you know, it’s Amsterdam, everything is a walk away! (Unless it’s raining). The service was excellent, the staff is very friendly and quick. And when it comes to food…

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, but please keep in mind that the pizzas are even more delicious than what they look like. There’s no fair way to describe them, you should just give them a try. We’ve ordered

We’ve also done some Italian beer tasting which was one of the best decisions of this trip.

My mom also asked to mention in this review their great music selection. She spent pretty much of her time singing or dancing without leaving her place. Oh well, moms.

Time for another hairstyle?

I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed with my hair and I spend half of my day looking at it in the mirror or I spend hours getting it right before leaving the house. I know people who do this and I’m definitely not one of them.

But I do like to take care of my hair and when you have curls you either accept the challenge or you’ll be looking like a mess.

I’ve shared many tips on how to keep a healthy hair previously in the blog. Applying coconut oil hours before the washing, beer hair masks, applying Apple cider vinegar after washing your hair for awesome curls to pop out, avoiding washing your hair too often and start using dry shampoo more often (here’s a really good guide on the best dry shampoo)… and the list goes on… you can check these posts under the Beauty section of the blog.

Now it’s my turn to ask for advice. I’m looking to change my hairstyle once again and I’m open for suggestions. I had highlights, fringe, short, long hair… but I’m looking for something different and I want to do it in the next few months, so feel free to leave a comment below with your suggestion and keep an eye on Instagram for the big change

I Grow my Hair with Beer

Surprise, surprise! I grow my hair with beer! No I do not get drunk and as a consequence my hair grows quicker. I simply use it in one of my favourite hair masks.

The proteins you can find in beer help repair damaged hair and restore its structure, which stimulates hair growth by also making it stronger and with a natural shine.

It’s very simple and you just need to leave it on your hair for 30 minutes.

Here goes the magical recipe:

  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • a cup of beer

How to apply:

  1. Mix the honey, coconut oil and a small glass of beer to make a gelatinous paste.
  2. Massage the mixture into the scalp and apply it on your hair.
  3. Leave until the mixture is dry on the scalp. (30min maximum)
  4. Then rinse the hair with water and shampoo. Avoid using conditioner the first time you wash your hair after this mask so it doesn’t become oily.

You should apply this mask, also if you want your hair to appear thicker. The corn, wheat, and rice protein add volume to it. It also helps with hair loss!

So next time someone compliments your hair you can answer with “Thank you very much, I grew it myself!”
