My Lisbon Guide| Popolo

I read quite a few reviews about this restaurant in Lisbon so I decided to give it a go during my Christmas holidays in Portugal.

It was one of those days between Christmas and New Year’s eve when you don’t really know what to do. It was lunch time and my family and I needed to pick a restaurant.

We passed by Popolo on our way to town and realised that it wasn’t full. This came as a surprise because that place is extremely crowded, all the time!

The ambiance was really relaxing with background music and the fresh air coming from outside. It was very sunny in Lisbon on that day so they opened all the window-doors.

I decided to order the Pizza Burguesa, which consists of a burger inside a pizza. No, it’s not a calzone. It’s ten times better than a calzone, actually. Along with the Sangria it turned into the perfect and delicious meal, the ideal meal for someone who is going to walk around Lisbon in the afternoon. Which I did, of course.

  1. Thank you for sharing your impressions about Lisbon and, in particular, about this restaurant! Although I’m from Lisbon I’m living and travelling abroad and didn’t have the chance to go to Popolo 🙂 PedroL
