If just by reading “Gamberi all’aglio”, “Gamberoni Prosecco” and “Tagliatelle Carbonara” makes your mouth water, then I know the perfect place for you to have your next meal.
Amici is by far my favorite restaurant at the moment. Maybe the fact that is very close to my house helps a lot, but so is McDonald’s and I don’t dream about having food there. So you see what I mean.
This Italian restaurant is located in Ashford (address and contact details at the end of the post). It’s run by an Italian family and serves delicious home-made food.
It’s a very relaxed atmosphere, you can choose to sit indoors or outdoors when the weather allows you (do not forget we’re still in England) and the price is affordable, especially if you go for lunch and choose one of their menus.
I would recommend as a starter the Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli served in a mushroom, white wine, fresh spinach and cream sauce, with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
As a main course the Pollo Crema e Funghi, which consists of grilled chicken breast topped with a creamy mushroom sauce, sauté potatoes and buttered green beans or the Gamberi linguine, which is a sautéed king prawn linguine with cherry tomatoes, garlic and chilli in a white wine and tomato sauce.
And for dessert, just ask for all of them and start sharing, you won’t regret it, life is short.
In the meantime, I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
Take a look at Amici‘s website.
