Face Cleansing for the lazy ones

This isn’t going to be a long post, because let’s be honest, no one wants a very long cleansing process. Not in the morning because you’re still in zombie mode, not even at night because going to bed is much more appealing than spending hours in the bathroom.

I like to have a practical, simple but effective face cleansing routine. So here is it in 4 quick steps:

  1. In the morning wash your face with lukewarm water, because it helps lift the dirt of your skin better than cold water, and hot water can be too drying.
  2. I use a make-up remover and cleanser in one (even if I’m not wearing make up). At the moment I’m using the Fresh Foaming Cleanser from Neutrogena, which is oil, alcohol and soap free. After washing, dab your face with a towel, don’t rub otherwise it will stretch your skin and lead to wrinkles.
  3. To finish the process I use a light moisturizing day cream from Nivea for normal and combination skin. You can choose what’s more appropriate for your skin. Even in winter I always use a facial sunscreen SPF 30 also from Neutrogena. It helps protecting your skin, keeps your tanned skin for a longer period of time and because of its essential soy, it helps reduce blotchiness and the look of dark spots.
  4. Before going to bed, I just repeat the washing process, but I replace the moisturizer and sunscreen for coconut oil. I will write an entire post about this oil and its various applications. Just keep in mind that removing your make up before going to bed is the key factor for a healthy skin since your skin rejuvenates naturally when you sleep.

And that’s it! You can continue being lazy now!
