Airbnb Mercado do Bolhão| Porto

I took a few days off from all these UK rainy days and decided to visit the family in Portugal. Our first stop was the north of Portugal, Oporto where I had the opportunity to use the app Airbnb for the first time.

We needed something practical, central, clean and with Wifi for two people and one night.

After looking at the photos I quickly went for Mario’s place at Mercado do Bolhão, a market where farmers come to sell their fruit and vegetables. Nowadays you can find among other things butchers and the inevitable souvenir shops.

There was free Wifi, breakfast included, private bathroom and a balcony. Mario, the owner, even has his own app which helps us find the place and all of the other points of interest around.

Mario always kept contact with us during our way to the apartment, during our stay and even after we left.

Our breakfast was at Nata, a coffee shop which specialty is Pastel de Nata, an egg tart pastry from Portugal. But funny or not our breakfast voucher did not include a pastel de nata, just a hot and a cold drink and some toasts.

We didn’t have  much time to visit the surroundings but we will definitely come back for a longer stay.

  1. uau! adorei a casa. Beijinhos
