Secret Santa| Mercado da Ribeira

My first Christmas post! *gets excited*

It’s that time of year when all you hear is Michael Buble’s Christmas songs, but also when your friends decide to organize Secret Santas. I have several this year, so I decided to make each one of them different from the others, in a special way.

My journalism classmates decided to have lunch at Mercado da Ribeira, where we exchanged gifts.

Mercado da Ribeira it’s Lisbon’s main market hall, which was transformed into a foodie hangout that brings together some of the city’s favourite food shops and restaurants.

It was once one of the most famous fish markets in Europe. Many of its traders have been selling fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and flowers there for decades. Time Out transformed this place into a city attraction.

You can choose from a variety of restaurants and I decided to eat at “O Prego da Peixaria”, a very healthy meal.

Enjoy the photographs and keep in touch for future posts of each one of the restaurants inside Mercado da Ribeira.
