I have to admit that I had a very fashionable weekend. Don’t worry, this is not a ‘bragging’ post, but an informative and
I was invited to a Blogger Brunch event hosted by Grey Garnet, which is a company that specializes in PR, Entertainment and Fashion.
It was a cold Saturday morning when I drove to the Three Cities Bantry Bay Suite Hotel, of course I got lost even with the help of my GPS, but I was very well received by Mariaan Christian Grey and Danine Naidoo Garnet from Grey Garnet, Jade Robertson from Just Jade Blog and all of the other bloggers that I’ve been following online and I never got to met before. So it was totally worth it!
After a welcome drink and a few canapes, we were treated to hand massages by Eternal Child. That was pure heaven!
I had the opportunity to chat with everyone and take a few photographs (and selfies, of course!), while we were waiting for a talk by Margaux Knuppe from Rubybox beauty. She explained everything from how they started their business from home to how they expand it to new levels. And Margaux also showed us what is trending in terms of Beauty.
This was followed by a competition of “who tweets the fastest gets the prize” and everyone got so excited that we had to control ourselves to listen to Jill Hector, a personal stylist who gave us a few tips and said something that I think is very important: “If you take care of your looks you’re showing other people that you care and respect yourself, therefore they know that you will respect them too and will trust you”.
A few minutes after, Meagan Duckett, a Fashion Lecturer and Blogger, told us a bit about body shapes and what is trending in Fashion. We also had the opportunity to listen to Chantal Orton from Whipp’d Cream, who explained the start of her clothing and Design business.
The event ended with a delicious Brunch in the foyer and Bar Area, while all the bloggers took the opportunity to take a few more photos.
Here is a picture of a few of the gifts. Follow me on Instagram (@melissadesousanunes) where I’ll be posting all of them.
I went for a very Winter look because I’m always looking for excuses to wear all the winter clothes I brought from Europe, where cold weather is actually really cold.
Cardigan: From Italy
